The Times of India is reporting that India plans to go to 100 percent electric vehicles by 2030. According to the Power Minister Piyush Goyal, “We are going to introduce electric vehicles in a very big way. We are going to make electric vehicles self- sufficient like UJALA. The idea is that by 2030, not a single petrol or diesel car should be sold in the country,”

Ocean Cleanup Founder and CEO Boyan Slat unveiled details about the start of the project in the Pacific Ocean. He said that advances in the technology will allow the cleanup to begin within 12 months. Slat also stated that they expect to reduce the plastic in the targeted area by 50% in five years.
